How Otwarte Circle
Came to Be
Otwarte Circle grew out of a calling shaped by grief, work, and grace. After the loss of my father and years in a high-pressure corporate environment, I came to the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis to fill a temporary part-time medical leave position in their finance office.
What I thought would be a short assignment became something much deeper. Through the witness, wisdom, and faith of this community, I encountered a different way of living and leading — one marked by prayer, fidelity, service, and love.
Over time, I came to understand that many religious communities are carrying profound responsibility in a season of real transition, and that this work must be held not only with competence, but with reverence.
"The name Otwarte means open in Polish. It reflects both my heritage and my belief that life is an open circle — formed by relationship, vocation, suffering, service, and love — until we are called home into the arms of our Lord."
